About Giardini Naxos (Sicily)

This Sicilian resort town features several popular beaches that get quite busy in the high season, most of which are lined with shops, cafes and bars. Otherwise, visitors will find a small archaeological park and museum detailing some of the town's history. From this port, cruisers to Italy can also visit Taormina, which can even be reached by foot by more active travelers.

Took a coach tour to Mount Etna, reaching a lava field - complete with bars - at about 2000 metres altitude. It’s a half-hour drive from the port each way.Read More

Use the local bus (stop just along from the tender location) to go to Taormina. Cost us 3 euros each for a return ticket. The bus station is a 15 to 20 minute walk away from the town centre. We didn’t go into the ampRead More

We took the tender and strolled along the Lungomare for an hour or so. Very pleasant, but Giardini Naxos is 'touristy'Read More
