About Transcend Cruises

With its first two identical ships launching in 2024, Transcend Cruises is an all-new river cruise line with a difference. Headquartered in Atlanta and Miami, Transcend is a charter-only line that will operate cruises on Europe’s most popular river, including the Rhine, Danube and Moselle.

In an industry first, Transcend Cruises solely offers cruises for groups. It will target corporate meeting and incentive planners, tour operators, group travel organizers, lifestyle brands, third-party agencies, companies that market vacations under their own brand, and travel advisors with leisure or corporate clients looking for a full-ship charter.

Transcend Cruise Tips, Activities, and Overview

Who goes on Transcend cruise ships?

The Transcend Cruises business model is uniquely customized for group travel so typical passengers will include corporate groups, affinity and alumni groups, and private family groups. Transcend is targeting a global audience of both English and non-English speaking passengers and the crew members will be multi-lingual.

Do I have to dress up on a Transcend cruise?

Dress codes on river ships are typically informal and it is likely to be the same on Transcend Cruises. However, for dedicated meeting and conference sessions held onboard it is likely that delegates will dress in more formal business attire if required.

Is everything free on Transcend cruises?

As Transcend offers flexible tailor-made cruises, it will be down to individual charterers to decide on the number of inclusions. All meals, a 24-hour tea and coffee station and free Wi-Fi are included as standard. The line says its customers will only pay for what works for their group -- including meals and menus tailored to specific requirements -- rather than having to purchase pre-developed packages from lines that currently offer both full-ship charters alongside regular vacation cruises.

What are Transcend’s most popular activities?

Any excursions and activities ashore will solely be down to the organizations that charter the ships and their clients' requirements. Back onboard, the ships will feature a supersize wellbeing zone that spans more than 2,600 square feet over three decks, including an outdoor-facing spa, sauna, relaxation lounge and two private treatment rooms, fitness center, and on demand virtual yoga and fitness classes via the stateroom infotainment system

Best for: Any groups looking for a completely customized full-ship charter.

Not for: Individual passengers looking to go on a river cruise.
