I’ve been on over 13 cruises Carnival is the most that I’ve been on. I’ve been on Norwegian royal Caribbean carnival, but I’m looking to go on another cruise for next year again. So I’m looking for a new adventure. I enjoyed the cruise this time after Covid. I’ve noticed a lot of things have changed for the better. The signing up for the breakfast through the phone waiting on your table for the ...
Carnival Spirit is old and has not updated for over 8 years. Even when updated lots of original items remain; bathrooms and carpets are outdated.
Food gets worse each year, especially for someone who prepares meals each day with fresh food.
Long lines everywhere.
Transportation from airport to ship is horrific! Not worth paying for this service, figure on waiting hours at the airport ...
Ship needs upgrade, my previous cruise on norwegian was on a newly renovated ship with good layout so this ship's condition seemed like real eyesore to me. I will say that the food is better than on Norwegian. Also do not like layout of the Spirit. Common areas too few and very smoky. Could not escape the smoking areas.
SMOKING AREAS!! Too many and could not visit 2nd or 3rd floor without ...
I felt the need to write a review of the Carnival Spirit because of so many negative ones I've read. Let me start out by saying I AM a seasoned cruiser. Been on over 20 cruisers. The Spirit is a older ship but easy to navigate and at full capacity doesn't feel crowded at all. This ship is NOT for kids!!!! People need to do their homework before booking or book with a experienced travel agt. There ...
This was our first post-covid cruise. We weren't expecting much because the reviews that we had read were pretty bad. Our experience, however, proved to be very pleasant,
To begin with, embarkation was a breeze. The system of timing your arrival seems to be working very well. We boarded without lines and were pleased to find that the muster station procedure no longer interferes with ...
If I had one phrase to describe my trip on the Carnival Spirit, I would say "so-so." Overall, I would say that if you are traveling with kids, this is certainly not the ship I would spend my money on. Also, if you want solid entertainment and engaging and fun activities throughout the day, this is also not the ship for you. I will break this review up into parts so it's easier to read for those of ...
The Spirit is an older ship and a smaller ship than the new ships being produced these days. I enjoyed the ship and never felt like I was living in the past. The decor in places is odd, to say the least, but something I got over in about 10 minutes. The only places it really was obvious was the main theatre done in an Egyptian motif and an inside walkway/lounge around the front of the ship that ...
Carnival Spirit review 12-11-22

Thermostat difficult.
Cabin Door very very heavy.
Nice bathroom, good counter and ...
We to cruise in early Dec to relax between the holidays. This cruise was a quiet and peaceful trip as they normally are for us this time of year. Food was good everywhere we ate and we enjoyed the new to us Chopsticks. Only one slow night in MDR, first formal night, which can be expected. The service was good everywhere onboard esp. our stateroom attendant . Only complaint we heard was about the ...
Itinerary, excursions and service were wonderful. The cruise was worth every penny but there were some issues.
Cruises on carnival in the past featured high quality food and great social times in the main dining room. Post Covid, apparently very few people sit with other guests in the main dining room.
Best food, therefore, was being offered in the buffet, steakhouse, chefs table, blue ...
