Stress and Chaos at Sea 28/10/2022
"The excursion in Patmos was also good but I'd have liked a full visit of the Saint John Monastery instead of highlights because it was crowded.Among the activities, the Turk lesson was very good and about the Greek one was so so and I think a second one pointing on the Greek alphabet will be perfect...."Read More

When you have skillfull personal, good food on board and good (and clean) installations but are unable to provide a good service, especially those announced in the daily board programm, it means that you are doing something wrong. Almost all the boat have included the excursion to Ephasus at 7:00 am. Breakfast was opened at 6:00 am. in both restaurants. Consequently, at 6:30 it was impossible to ...

Worst cruise we had!

This is the 5th cruise we were on and Celestyal was the worst experience we had! Staff was rude and it seemed as if they were all instructed to serve as less food as possible. At first we were a bit shy asking for another spoonful but once we realized it’s a tactic we became much more demanding. I guess they rely on people’s “shyness” We had the all inclusive drinks package and we had to ...

Very Unhappy

This ship is a refurbished Royal Caribbean ship that is in need of more refurbishment. My trip felt like more of a ferry ride, with passengers embarking and disembarking at many of the ports. There were very few Americans on board. While the cabin attendants were excellent, the rest of the service was definitely lacking. It was difficult to have our bread and water refilled in the dining room, ...

This cruise was part of a Globus land tour of Greece. Embarkation was one of the smoothest ever experienced I'm sure because the Ship was only 3/4 full. We enjoyed the free drink package at no extra cost which was a real treat. You had a great selection of beer, wine and spirts. The service aboard was both professional and extremely friendly. The food was fantastic! We ate in the main ...

I'll start by saying we travel a lot, but aren't "cruise people". We've only been on one other cruise. Most of our travel is self-booked, no groups, tours, etc. That said, we were looking to do something out of the ordinary and special for our 35th anniversary cruise, and had our sights set on exploring a few greek islands. After looking at options including cruises, flights, and water taxis, we ...

Worst cruise experience ever!

I was really looking forward for this vacation, but it became terrible after booking this cruise. The ship was small, old and there was really nothing to do onboard. They didn’t even have the pools available to swim. I have been in different cruises before and I figured it was alright since the port destinations would make up for it. I was wrong, the excursions available were very unorganized. ...

It started with watching the guys throwing our bags on the conveyor belt and when we received our bags the handle was broken , the bag was brand new bought for this trip now the extension handle is broken. The food was very poor especially the 2 bbqs the food was cold and all the meat so dry and tough , the corn was terrible as well we left a whole plate full of food. The entertainment was very ...

A well organised, efficient, pleasant, friendly, smooth cruise experience

We chose this cruise because I had never visited the Greek islands. We only had 3-4 days to spare, so I chose the Iconic Aegean cruise. I've seen some negative reviews of Celestyal Olympia, but we had a great time. The food was good, the service was excellent, and the staff were pleasant, attentive and efficient. We chose a suite and we had ample space. The bed was comfortable and the AC ...

We wanted a short cruise at the end of our two week vacation in Greece. This one fit the bill perfectly. First, I am NOT a cruiser. However, as the fates would have it, I ended up on three cruises this year. The first two were on major cruise lines, the third on Celestyal. The Celestyal cruise gets my prize for least annoying cruise. First, the ship is run like a finely tuned machine, and when you ...

A day (almost) in Santorini

We literally booked this mini cruise last minute. The price was just too good to ignore. After checking the prices for tickets and hotels, (our plan was to visit 2 to 3 isles ), taking this cruise was basically our solution for saving money. I would like to focus on our experience in Santorini island, a place that was the center of our interest from the start. Before booking the cruise, the plan ...
