Viking is fabulous in every way!
"We felt that our Viking cruise was worth every penny!Lots of other cruise lines seem less expensive, but by the time you add in everything that Viking includes in their price (like free unlimited beer and wine with meals) it's probably about the same...."Read More

Transatlantic cruise

I was apprehensive about so many sea days but I quickly fell into a relaxed mode and enjoyed the slow pace. Food was five stars every meal. Crew was above and beyond customer service! Plenty of places for solitude or activity with groups. Chef Gary did pop up lunches in the cafe several days and that was a treat. I’m never seen the head chef so engaging and he was delightful. The pool was tranquil ...

SMOOTH SAILING THE ATLANTIC OCEAN

I had never taken a "repositioning cruise" before. I chose it based on the fact that it was 14 days and rather inexpensive, and because it only had two port stops. My travel partner and I both love life on board ship and the port stops are not particularly something we need. This cruise was jam packed with so many things to do on board with lectures, and dance lessons, Trivia, games, shows ...

Reputation of Viking Ocean Cruises and the extended time at sea. We had high expectations of this cruise and Viking overwhelmingly exceeded everyone of them. The ship was immaculate, food was over the top delicious, entertainment was great , stateroom and attendant… the best, and ALL staff on the ship - from the officers to the maintenance people were FABULOUS!!! We left from Fort Lauderdale and ...

Having multiple Cunard transatlantic crossings under the belt, we were looking at trying something a little different and were pleasantly surprised with our Viking Star crossing and a small ship experience on our Fort Lauderdale to Barcelona sailing. I now see why Viking consistently earns high marks from it's customers - they put customer service at the forefront and it shows. We embarked ...

A repositioning cruise has long been on our bucket list. It was fabulous, restful, energizing, engaging. The staff rapidly became family. Food was varied, creative, and always so well prepared. Big shoutout to our ‘adopted’ server Gloria, who won our hearts. We loved getting to know Chef Gary and discussing his culinary ideas…such a friendly, creative chef! Restaurant manager Zhora was like a ...

We were looking to experience Viking Ocean. I have friends and clients that I’ve booked with Viking but had not sailed on them myself. We love sea days and cruises that have enrichment. You can be as busy as you wish to be or just sit back and relax. There are no water slides no rock climbing walls or children under the age of 18. The food and service were excellent. I have many food allergies so ...

We made our reservations in May, 2019 for our 40th anniversary the next year. COVID had other plans. Viking canceled our 2020 river cruise and again in 2021. We canceled in 2022 due to the unrest in Europe and the masking and COVID testing requirements. We rescheduled again with the change to an ocean cruise instead. We are certainly glad we did. The extended stay on the ship was marvelous. ...

From the moment we "walked up the gangway" to the moment we "walked down the gangway" we totally enjoyed our first Viking cruise. Our room steward, Nikko, was very attentive to our every need/wish. Every waiter/waitress could not have been more courteous and attentive. When we had questions of Guest Services they were most helpful. We loved our junior suite, it was just the right size and ...

This was out first time on a Viking cruise and there was lots to love but some disappointments. We are in our late 60's and have mostly cruised on Celebrity. We were looking to try a smaller ship, got a great offer from Viking and wanted to see the Panama Canal. A few observations: The Ship and Cabin: - the ship is beautiful with a refined elegance, lots of lovely spaces both inside ...

Ehhh So-So

Review for Viking Star to Caribbean - All

We had been on a Viking river cruise and enjoyed it so decided to try their ocean cruises. I've been on seven cruises now and would say the Viking ocean experience is only so-so (except for the food which was really quite good). No better than any of the other four lines we've been on really. Talked with other passengers who felt the same. The wine-by-the-glass choices were mediocre, the ...
