I chose this cruise because we were told this was a new , Clean ship , That it had a good reputation and also the ports appealed to us .
At first we did not mind flying in and put of Ft lauderdale . But I don't think that we will Ever fly in and out of that airport Ever again !!!
We also were told that not many kids were on this ship . Which seemed true . We did not really see that many ...
First time on Celebrity.
The Pacific coast itinerary(RT Los Angeles) was the reason we booked this cruise. Living not far from the Los Angles port allowed us to drive to the port with no need to fly.
The crew members were very nice and accommodating. Captain announcements on the PA system were timely although at times were difficult to understand(heavy accent).
The food at the main ...
For our 25th wedding anniversary, my husband and I cruised the California Coast on Celebrity Solstice. We viewed this as a trial cruise, our first back since the pandemic.
It was our third time on Solstice after cruising the Caribbean in 2011 and Alaska in 2017. The ship is worn and would have gone to drydock already if not for the pandemic. But she is still lovely with high marks for design. ...
We’ve been long time loyal Celebrity Cruisers, but our current cruise has been lack luster on almost every imaginable level. What was once a strong dining experience is now mundane and in most cases the food lacks not just originality but taste! The buffets were at best disgustingly mediocre, all but Tuscan Grill specialty restaurants were similar. Not sure if this is just Reflection or if ...
What a great cruise! This was our eighth cruise and it didn't disappoint. Boarding couldn't have been easier. We had the 11:00-11:30 time slot. We got to the ship at about 10:50 and were checking out our room by 11:30. That delay was because of customs holding up the show for about 20 minutes. The ship was very clean and bright and the staff were constantly keeping up with any issues that might ...
The food was exceptional. The buffet was the best on any ship and I mean any ship. Tuscan Grill was WOW. It just wins as one of the best meals I have ever eaten. Their cakes were disgusting though. However food on the ship is important but does not make the cruise on its own.
Activities were very lack luster. There was no BINGO which was weird. They also showed Whitney Huston movie 8 times and ...
PROS -
Ship is great, Medium Size, Easy to get around. We sail about 6 times a year. This was our 4th on Celebrity.
Ship only had 1200 passengers on this sailing. We have sailed on the Summit and the Infinity before.
My wife was on the Summit 2 months ago and she said it was great.
CONS -
Room Steward - Very Slow, Left for dinner at 530pm come back at 8pm and room still hasn't been ...
Overall we had a great time. The crew, service, and ship condition were top-notch. There were, however, some disappointments.
Food: Portion sizes, unlike other cruise lines, are still ample. The Oceanview Cafe buffet is fantastic, especially the fresh-baked croissants, pizza and omelet stations. One notable disappoint across the ship is desserts. All the cakes start with a dry spongecake that ...
Overall:
This was our 5th cruise with Celebrity, 1st time on the Silhouette, and 35th cruise overall. For the most part we’ve always been very happy with our cruise experience on previous Celebrity cruises on the Solstice and Equinox. Maybe a dozen kids on this sailing, which was probably due to school being in session and a 10-day sailing. Nothing against kids onboard, our daughter grew up on ...
We booked this cruise back in July of 2022 because we kept hearing great things about Celebrity. For the most part the service was good outside of the main dining room but quality of food was about as low as you could go, including the specialty restaurant. Fruit was hard and zero taste, meat on the buffet was always a mystery because of the amount of sauce that they used to cover it up. Fatty, ...
