This was was the second of our B2B cruises. When we originally booked it, it was not a themed cruise so we didn't actually get into it as some of the others aboard. Since we had booked the trip before this & we came all the way from Florida figured we might as well take both since it was our 1st time going out of LA.
Embarcation was very fast and easy.
Cabin was Penthouse Suite R6** midship ...
In 2015 we had cruised the Royal Princess in the Caribbean for 10 days and it was wonderful. The ship was less that two-years old, lots of activities, the food was great, service superior, and the ship shinned from stem to stern. It was very sad to see the declines of this once great line. The service is still very good, but the ship looks worn, and the only good food to be found was in ...
A 4 night cruise from Southampton to Rotterdam and Brussels. Good: excellent cabin (mini-suite), lovely steward and restaurant staff. Restaurant food fine. Bad: 1.5 hour wait in a queue to park car. Just not enough staff and staff poorly trained. Only 1 restaurant open for breakfast and only between 07.30am and 09.30am. Entire rest of ship was using International Marketplace (all day buffet) ...
The Sky Princess is a modern ship, with good facilities, food was good, room were lovely, but the design doesn’t make sense, when compared to similar size Royal Caribbean ships, so many levels, with several entertainment venues in one area resulting in crowds of people.
With regards to the actual trip, Princess told us the week before that the Rotterdam marathon was on the day we docked, making ...
Overall I had a wonderful cruise. The weather was perfect except for one really hot day. The ports were as expected. Nice and relaxing with no major sites to see but good places to just enjoy. The ship is definitely showing some age but the smaller size is wonderful. I stayed in C2**. I loved staying on the 10th floor. Perfect location for anything I wanted to do. The gym opened at 6 am ...
This was our 1st cruise out of LA but decided we would like to see the Mexican Riviera. (We live in Florida so usually go out of Fort Lauderdale or Miami.) This was the 1st of our B2B cruises. Embarcation was a breeze and the cabins were available shortly after arrival. We were in a Penthouse Suite R6** right across from the Concierge Lounge (husbands choice). It is a beautiful ship and the cabin ...
This was an impromptu cruise for a few nights away.
We booked an inside cabin for three people for a good price we felt and were surprised two weeks before sailing to receive a balcony upgrade for free (very nice). As a result, we upgraded our onboard package to the promoted Premier Package (gratuities incl, free wifi up to four devices, two speciality dining evenings, drinks up to $20).
We ...
We have done a number of cruises in the past, but the last one was over 23 years ago. We thought we would give cruises another go, and this four night one seemed just the job to see if we wanted to start cruising again. What a disappointment, I was so looking forward to Sky Princess and had such good expectations after seeing so many excellent you tube reviews but our experience was so ...
This was an 80s themed cruise and that was very appealing. However, the only thing 80s was the nightly show at 7:30 or 9:00. Very little 80s anything other than some cheap paper signs and inflatable cell phones.
Ship is so old. Our balcony was rusted through on the front. The spa was a mess. Lockers were broken and you couldn’t lock them so we were told just stick your belongings in there it ...
We chose this cruise by date only, as we were celebrating my 60th birthday. We are most loyal to Princess with the caveat that cruising has changed since the pandemic started.
Embarkation was mostly quick and easy. We were blue lane, but it was short--we were second in line. The rep didn't seem too familiar with the program and struggled to enter the information in the system (it was literally ...
