This big island is bustling with people and traffic but we had a fun day at the market. The colors and sights were amazing. It was pouring buckets of rain the day we were in port so the market was a perfect hideout. We stayed here pre and post cruise and had wonderful rooms at the Intercontinental. This was our departure port. We spent 2 nights in an over-water bungalow at the Intercontinental Tahiti. Despite the less than stellar reviews the room was great. The view of Moorea was lovely.
