This was an unexpected break and it was good to get a glimpse of Seward - we walked the length of Resurrection Bay and back, looking out for a sea otter (but these had to wait until Sitka). Seward was fantastic. I'm so glad we stayed an extra night here. It has a more homey feel then the other ports. You can tell that people live here and take pride in that. It was a beautiful place to walk around and have a really great seafood dinner. We were able to catch the Alaska Railroad Train ride to the airport in Anchorage from Seward. We really enjoyed the Alaska Sea Life Center at Seward with all the life animal exhibits as well as the historical exhibits. We spent a lot of time there just enjoying all the different stories told by the guides. Did the ACT bus from Anchorage to Seward, with stops en route at Wildlife Conservation Center and Exit Glacier. That was a good trip, but the center is really just a little ranch. Got a couple of decent pictures of the brown bears. Wolf and moose were less compliant. The glacier is a short hike and pretty unremarkable. ...
