Review for Azura to Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

The Azura staff from stateroom to bar staff are amazing We were served quickly wherever we went on ship and all staff were helpful and courteous. We could always find a seat in bars an theatre too. The food for most part was delicious and being gluten free I found waiters in restaurants really helpful. Gluten free options were always marked on the menu and each night the head waiter would bring ...

We were looking for a Provence experience and Avalon delivered. First Avalon sets the standard for top. Held cruise experiences. The rooms, the staff and crew are so attentive. They made us feel so very special . The food, entertainment and excursions were all excellent. We gained so much information about all the places we visited. The special Avalon service started at the airport where they ...

Not again with MSC

Review for MSC Seashore to Europe - Western Mediterranean

When the profit is the only thing... The room smells bad for the cruise duration and they didn't manage to resolve it. The ship is almost all cabin to maximize the profit and it ended that we had to stay in line for everything, especially the buffet, a nightmare. The staff is not efficient, you have to struggle to find a waiter to make an order and we had to call to have the room cleaned ...

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Baltic Sea

We have fortunately been on a few cruises with different cruise lines and unfortunately this time was nowhere near as good. We had a party of 8 people all booked under one name. When the times were issued for embarkment MSC had split us into 2 parties with different arrival times. We called to change this but was told it was impossible. This caused us stress but in fact we were all able to board ...

Fantastic Ship if money is no object

Review for Le Commandant Charcot to Baltic Sea

I notice that none of the other reviews talk about money. I'm therefore assuming this ship and itineraries are for people seeking to explore certain destinations and will pay whatever it takes to do so. In that case I would echo the other excellent reviews. However, almost everyone I spoke to on this 2 day ship visit, said that they had a great time, but they really had to think about if ...

Review for Queen Victoria to Europe - British Isles & Western

We have been on the Queen Victoria twice before and the staff, cleanliness, cabins etc were all great. This cruise was a different story! Staff were indifferent, stressed, overworked which impacted greatly on the whole experience. The excursion desk man was very rude and eventually we walked away telling him I was sorry to have bothered him! Cabins are shabby now especially the balcony and ...

We are in a suite 12***. It’s beautiful. Food is good. Most a staff ok. Some just can’t b bothered. But DO NOT go to casino. The are crooks. I won and she didn’t pay out told me I had been paid. The boss came over said he looked at cctv which I wasn’t allowed to c. He said I had been paid. Everyone in table told them I hadn’t. There are in it together just to rob customers. When to ...

Great cabin but wear and tear showing everywhere

Review for Ventura to Europe - British Isles & Western

I was going to sail on Cunard on a similar itinerary but wanted something less formal. Boarding was not great. I arrived early and despite there being no queues to board at that time, they made me wait for 2 hours, so not a good start. My cabin was great and huge but there was mildew on the tiles in the bathroom, something that can be easily cleaned, right P&O?? I chose the relaxed dining but ...

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Europe - British Isles & Western

23 cruises under my belt but never tried MSC. So booked a short break on Virtuosa to Rotterdam and Zebrugge. Then read the reviews on here and dreaded it. But just back and pleased to say, it wasn't too bad at all - certainly exceeded expectations as long as you don't go on expecting a luxury cruise. It does what it says on the tin. Pros Good value Friendly staff Clean room Good ...

Review for MSC Virtuosa to Europe - British Isles & Western

User Avatar

Boarding at Southampton was smooth and when onboard this beautiful ship doesn't fail to impress. It's a big ship and wide so you sort of lose the sense you're on the water sometimes. This was our second cruise with MSC the first was on the Preziosa last October. There were definitely things I preferred about the smaller ship. Dinning 1. Food in the MDR was of a high standard. The fish ...
